Icon Compliance Services, LLC was founded by our CEO, Brian Aryai, who has combined his renowned expertise with former colleagues to develop our full-service investigations, forensic accounting, Department of Homeland Security EB-5 Compliance Consulting, Integrity Monitoring, internal audit services and CFO consulting.



Brian Aryai — CEO

Brian Aryai serves as chief executive officer of ICON Compliance Services, LLC. Previously, he held positions as a senior corporate financial executive at several public corporations. Aryai also served as a senior special agent at the United States Treasury Department for 14 years, where he conducted numerous white collar and corporate financial investigations both in criminal and civil matters at the Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division, and the Office of Investigations at the United States Customs Service. He received numerous awards for consistently superior performance in enforcing Federal laws. Aryai is credentialed as a retired senior special agent from the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 
After honorably retiring from the United States Government, Aryai served as a senior executive at several international conglomerates. He was also appointed as a partner at a regional accounting firm and a director at an international accounting firm. In these previous positions, Aryai concentrated in forensic accounting, corporate, internal, white-collar, fraud and audit-committee investigations. These investigations comprised both civil and criminal matters. In 2009, Aryai accepted a contract engagement to provide specialized advisory project based expertise to the United States Department of Justice in governmental law enforcement matters and operations. Aryai’s work has been widely publicized and resulted in numerous criminal prosecutions and convictions as well as successful civil litigation in many matters adjudicated in federal and state courts. Aryai is credited with investigating and successfully submitting for criminal prosecution the largest ever recorded fraud worldwide in a systemic construction wide fraud scheme. While serving as Senior Vice President of Finance and Controller at Lend Lease, Aryai personally discovered, investigated and submitted for successful prosecution of numerous international construction conglomerates his findings by hand to former United States Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch.
Recently he has served on two long term sabbatical assignments. The first as a forensic financial consultant to the United States Department of Justice and the second as the Director of Investigations at Habitat for Humanity International, a global non-profit organization which provided newly constructed housing to underprivileged families. Finally, Aryai founded ICON Compliance Services, LLC combining his expertise with former colleagues to develop a full service risk management, security and forensic accounting firm. Aryai is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), certified in financial forensics (CFF) by the American institute of certified Public Accountants (AICPA), certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Aryai is also a longstanding member of the AICPA.


Gary Van Schaften — COO & Managing Member (New York Office)

Gary Van Schaften serves as our Chief Operations Officer and Director of our consulting, accounting, and audit divisions. Gary began his accounting career at Arthur Andersen LLC, where he practiced as a CPA for more than 15 years in their New Jersey and Houston offices. He also earned the position as a partner in their accounting and audit division. Gary was later recruited by Salomon Brothers as their Director of Accounting. He also served in a senior financial position with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York City. Gary served as CFO for three companies, including an international food manufacturing firm, a corrugated manufacturing company, and a large New Jersey law practice. Gary currently supervises many of our forensic accounting projects.


NIMA SADEGHIAN - DIRECTOR

Nima Sadeghian Nima Sadeghian serves as a Director at Icon Group. Nima has a Juris Doctor degree from Arizona Summit Law School and an extensive hands on background in legal scholarship, researching the latest developments and intersections between law and finance. Nima also is an experienced financial investigations professional. Nima is certified in Construction Projects Management (CPM). Nima brings to Icon a plethora of practical experience in Integrity Monitoring and Risk Prevention for a wide range of different large-scale construction projects. He also has extensive knowledge of securities laws, qui tam claims, as well as recent case decisions and best practices in EB-5 immigration programs. Aside from assisting the COO in his day-to-day operation of the firm and its client initiatives, Nima also serves as the liaison of the company and makes great efforts to bridge the gap between the highly technical aspects of our services in order to deliver an outstanding and results driven experience to our clients.


Neil CoheN — Director of Financial Investigations

Neil Cohen is a highly skilled financial investigator. Neil served more than twenty-five years as a special agent with the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, including ten years as a supervisory agent. During the course of Neil's career with the IRS, he conducted and oversaw highly complex financial investigations involving corporate fraud, public corruption, organized crime, insurance fraud, identity theft, embezzlement and large-scale narcotics trafficking. Neil was also a longtime member of the Federal Construction Fraud Task Force, which investigated illegal business practices in the construction industry. In addition, Neil served as a lead coordinator for a large-scale, high-profile offshore banking investigation. Following the conclusion of his career with the IRS, Neil served as the senior forensic accountant on a large-scale fraud investigation led by the US Department of Transportation. Neil is a three-time recipient of the Public Service Award from the US Department of Justice for meritorious service. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and a federally licensed tax practitioner authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS.


KEVIN WORTHINGTON —Director of Government Contracts and Investigations

Kevin Worthington served as a supervisory special agent of the US Secret Service, which is currently an agency within the United States Department of Homeland Security. Worthington was responsible for reviewing and evaluating complex criminal financial investigations to include fraud, larceny and any violation of significant loss arising from fraudulent activities to the US government. Worthington also supervised protection of high ranking officials protected by the US Secret Service domestically and internationally. Worthington trained special agents to conduct thorough criminal investigations impacting the United States Treasury Department. Wortington is a former New York City ("NYPD") police officer and graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. Worthington oversees all of Icon's services, including investigations and intelligence gathering, to the federal, state and local governments.


George Geordiades — Chief Technology Officer

George Geordiades is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), AccessData® Certified Examiner (ACE), and AccessData Mobile Examiner (AME) with extensive experience conducting forensic investigations, investigating fraud, and undertaking electronic discovery. His clients have spanned the financial, retail, and healthcare sectors, as well as law firms and various state and Commonwealth governments. Geordiades has also testified as an expert in computer forensics and data analysis before the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Drawing on this extensive knowledge, he has helped clients address multimillion-dollar disputes on matters including:
